Angela Nina Simone Young

Ms. Angela Young has over a decade of experience as a marketing strategist--both internationally and locally. She has worked with some of the world’s leading brands such as Coca Cola, Pillsbury, Publix Supermarket Stores, Essence Magazine, BET, and Delta Airlines.   Her expertise includes branding, advertising, promotion and event management, media planning, product development, and consumer research.

 
One of the key highlights of her diverse career involved working at the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, as an audio assistant for NBC Sports.  In this capacity, she also met many of America’s top NBA and NFL players during her year tenure.  She took advantage of the opportunity to develop and strengthen her audio technical training while working on numerous music video sets for some of Atlanta’s leading artists.

Prior to relocating to the US, Ms. Young was the Manager of Communications at the Bermuda Department of Tourism, where she was responsible for the global advertising campaigns and initiatives throughout the United Kingdom, Canada and the US.

 
Upon returning home in 2002, she was employed at Butterfield Bank for five years as Assistant Vice President of Marketing.  Her “out of the box” thinking positioned her to be a key contributor for some of the Bank’s most popular marketing campaigns such as the first co-branded credit card with American Airlines® entitled, Butterfield/Advantage® Master Card® in 2004, and the first ever co-marketing initiative with FIFA, called the Butterfield Bank Master Card® FIFA World Cup Vacation™ Contest in 2006.

Later, Ms. Young joined one of the world’s leading “Magic Circle” offshore law firms where she was responsible for planning, developing and implementing global corporate marketing communications programs. Recently, Ms. Young launched her consulting business, Nyna Symone Agency, a full service agency specializing in integrated marketing communications.

A native of Bermuda, Ms. Young’s academic accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
